Frequently Asked Questions & Troublesooting Devices
In an effort to improve our response time and avoid unnecessary police dispatches we have made a change to our call procedures. In the event of a burglary alarm we will cancel our call verification and dispatch procedures if you input the proper code to cancel your alarm within 30 seconds of the initial signal.
When your central station calls to inform you that your alarm system “failed an autotest,” it means that the system was unable to complete a self-check or diagnostic test. Alarm systems typically run an autotest to ensure that all components—like sensors, communication devices, and monitoring functions—are working correctly.
Your alarm system might not be able to send signals to the monitoring center or receive updates. This could be due to a weak Wi-Fi signal, a cellular connection issue, or a problem with the phone line (if you’re using a landline-based system).
Call the Monitoring station and test your alarm system communications immediately.
